Senior Architectural Technologist

Job description

A well-regarded residential design & build practice with a collaborative studio environment is seeking a Senior Architectural Technologist to support and deliver high-quality architectural and technical design outcomes. The role will involve working across bespoke residential projects, including new builds, extensions and technical design packages delivered in-house.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the technical design and coordination of projects from developed design through to construction and completion.
• Produce and manage detailed Revit and AutoCAD drawing packages, including construction information and specifications.
• Coordinate with internal design teams, consultants and contractors to ensure buildability and regulatory compliance.
• Manage planning and building control submissions and approvals.
• Attend design and site meetings, maintain technical records, and ensure documentation accuracy throughout the project lifecycle.
• Mentor and support junior technologists and engineers, contributing to a collaborative technical culture.

About You

• Degree or equivalent qualification in Architectural Technology or related discipline.
• Substantial post-qualification experience in a UK architectural environment, ideally 5+ years.
• Strong proficiency in Revit (BIM Level 2) and AutoCAD.
• Excellent technical knowledge of UK Building Regulations, planning processes and construction detailing.
• Excellent communication and coordination skills, with the ability to work confidently with clients and multidisciplinary teams.
