As an Associate Electrical Design Engineer, you will…

  • Lead and manage electrical building services design across a range of sectors, delivering high-quality calculations, drawings, specifications, and reports.
  • Oversee and contribute to drawing production in AutoCAD and Revit
  • Take responsibility for electrical design calculations, including power, lighting, containment, and life safety systems, ensuring compliance with relevant standards.
  • Provide technical leadership from concept through detailed design, coordination, and construction support.
  • Undertake and review surveys of existing electrical systems, producing clear technical reports.
  • Lead and review tender documentation, providing technical guidance to the wider team.
  • Monitor construction progress and support contract administration as a senior technical point of contact.
  • Oversee witnessing and commissioning activities through to project handover.
  • Collaborate with clients and the wider design team, building strong working relationships and delivering trusted advice.
  • Mentor and support junior engineers, contributing to team development and continuous improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with Brookbanks QA procedures and promote best practice across projects.


What we’re looking for

  • Degree educated in a relevant electrical engineering or building services discipline.
  • Strong electrical design skills across building services.
  • Revit experience is desirable.
  • Working towards chartership or Chartered status.
  • Full driving licence.
