Invecta group is working exclusively with a well-established London Market insurer to appoint an experienced Exposure Manager to lead and evolve its exposure management capability.


This is a high-impact leadership role responsible for overseeing catastrophe and man-made accumulation management across all product lines. The successful candidate will play a key role in optimising portfolio risk, supporting capital allocation, and enhancing overall resilience across the business.


The Opportunity

This is a strategic yet hands-on mandate with visibility across underwriting, actuarial, reinsurance, and risk functions. You will own and shape the exposure management framework, strengthen modelling governance, and deliver actionable portfolio insights to senior stakeholders including the CUO and Group.


What you’ll do:

  • Develop and lead the exposure management strategy, aligned with underwriting, reinsurance, and capital objectives
  • Own the accumulation framework across natural catastrophe, casualty clash, cyber, and other key exposure classes
  • Deliver high-quality exposure analytics, scenario modelling, and portfolio insights to inform underwriting and reinsurance decisions
  • Partner with the Head of Ceded Reinsurance to support reinsurance purchasing, treaty optimisation, and capital modelling
  • Provide clear, accurate, and timely exposure reporting to senior management and Group stakeholders
  • Design and maintain exposure thresholds, controls, and monitoring tools across business units
  • Work closely with underwriting teams to embed exposure considerations into pricing, line-size decisions, and portfolio planning
  • Drive continuous improvement in data quality, modelling capability, and exposure analytics infrastructure
  • Represent the business in external exposure forums and vendor model discussions

Required Experience:


  • Strong experience in exposure management within the London Market or global (re)insurance sector
  • In-depth knowledge of catastrophe models, vendor platforms, and accumulation methodologies
  • Solid understanding of reinsurance structures and capital modelling concepts
  • Strong analytical and quantitative capability, with proficiency in exposure and portfolio analytics tools
  • Confident communicator, able to present complex modelling outputs clearly to senior stakeholders
  • Collaborative mindset, comfortable working across underwriting, actuarial, reinsurance, and risk
  • Detail-oriented, organised, and committed to continuous improvement in modelling and exposure governance
