Managing Counsel

Job description

Our client, a leading life sciences organisation, is seeking a commercially astute lawyer to lead its EMEA legal function.

This senior role partners closely with regional executives and global stakeholders to enable business growth, manage risk and deliver high-quality legal support across multiple jurisdictions.

As the primary legal advisor to EMEA you will:

• Lead and develop the regional legal team.
• Provide commercially focused advice across legal, regulatory and operational matters.
• Proactively identify and manage risk, ensuring robust compliance across EMEA.
• Oversee disputes, investigations and external counsel.
• Advise on data protection, including GDPR and cross-border issues.
• Manage the EMEA legal budget and align regional strategy with global frameworks.

About You

• Qualified lawyer (admitted in at least one jurisdiction).
• Significant experience in life sciences, healthcare or biopharma.
• Proven senior leadership across EMEA jurisdictions.
• Strong commercial judgement across contracts, compliance, employment, data protection and disputes.
• Clear communicator, collaborative and solutions-focused
