With continued investment in new capabilities and customer programmes, we are seeking an R&D Scientist I to join the tight knit development team and play an active role in delivering next-generation diagnostic technologies.

As a qualified scientist, you will bring hands-on laboratory experience and a strong scientific foundation, with exposure to reagent formulation and assay development. You will be involved in both customer projects and internal R&D programmes, gaining broad experience across the full development lifecycle in a regulated environment.

This is an ideal opportunity for someone looking to accelerate their industry career in a high-growth, highly collaborative CDMO environment.

  • Develop electrochemical or other assay methods for development programmes
  • Support reagent deposition and sensor build processes
  • Maintain laboratory chemicals and reagents in line with H&S and GLP requirements
  • Provide scientific input into product and process development

About You

  • Degree qualified in a relevant scientific discipline
  • Practical laboratory experience (industry or strong academic research)
  • Understanding of IVD detection methods or electrochemical techniques
  • Familiar with GxP / regulated working practices
  • Strong data handling, analysis and communication skills

This role will suit someone who enjoys hands-on experimental work, learning quickly and contributing to multiple concurrent projects.
