We are seeking a seasoned Compliance professional to strengthen the compliance culture and support the ongoing evolution of our compliance function. Reporting to the Senior Governance, Risk & Compliance Counsel, this role ensures the organization operates in full compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies, while promoting ethical conduct and operational integrity.
Key Responsibilities
Compliance Framework
- Develop and maintain a central compliance toolkit, including policies, frameworks, templates, and guidance materials.
- Continuously improve compliance processes and systems to keep pace with regulatory change.
- Ensure all policies reflect current laws, including GDPR, competition law, and KYC requirements.
Regulatory Compliance
- Monitor, interpret, and implement regulatory requirements (GDPR, competition law, telecom regulations, etc.) across the business.
- Investigate compliance breaches and recommend corrective actions.
- Contribute to regulatory compliance, business continuity, information security, and operational standards.
- Lead compliance reviews and audits in collaboration with external auditors and relevant stakeholders.
- Ensure adherence to competition law in joint venture and information-sharing protocols.
Stakeholder Engagement
- Liaise with regulators and represent the organization in compliance matters.
- Partner with legal, IT, HR, operations, and quality teams to embed compliance standards across all business functions.
- Identify compliance gaps and risks, run working groups, and implement sustainable solutions.
Risk Management
- Conduct compliance risk assessments and develop corrective action plans for identified vulnerabilities.
- Align compliance initiatives with the organization’s risk framework and reporting requirements.
Auditing & Monitoring
- Plan and execute internal audits to evaluate compliance effectiveness.
- Monitor business processes to ensure ongoing adherence to regulatory and internal standards.
Communication & Education
- Deliver training and guidance to employees on compliance procedures and regulatory updates.
Reporting
- Prepare compliance reports for senior management and regulatory bodies.
Knowledge, Skills, and Experience
- Proven experience in Compliance Management with strong knowledge of GDPR, KYC, competition law, and policy development.
- Strong risk management experience and ability to conduct compliance risk assessments.
- Experience in developing, implementing, and maintaining effective compliance programs.
- Excellent stakeholder management, relationship-building, and communication skills.
- Highly organized, proactive, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Project management certification (e.g., Prince2) is desirable or working towards certification.
