Derivatives & Structured Products Associate
London | Hybrid Working
We’re working with a top-tier international law firm that’s looking to hire a Derivatives & Structured Products Associate into its highly regarded Debt Capital Markets team in London.
This is a standout opportunity to join a globally integrated practice known for handling complex, high-value structured finance and derivatives transactions for leading financial institutions and corporates worldwide.
The Opportunity
You’ll join a collaborative, high-performing team advising on a wide range of sophisticated matters across structured finance and derivatives. The role offers genuine exposure to complex cross-border work, strong partner access, and excellent long-term development prospects.

Key Areas of Work
You’ll be involved in advising on:
- On- and off-balance sheet structured products programmes
- Securitised and OTC derivatives
- Hedging arrangements linked to structured finance transactions
- Structured repo and securities lending transactions
- Repackagings
- Regulatory advice relating to the above
What They’re Looking For
Technical Strength
- Strong grounding in derivatives and structured products work
- A proactive approach to developing technical expertise
- Awareness of legal and regulatory developments impacting the market
Collaborative Mindset
- Motivated, reliable and adaptable, with the ability to manage competing priorities
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills
- Confident working both independently and as part of a team
- Comfortable taking ownership of tasks and seeing matters through to completion
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
Commercial & Client-Focused
- Commercially aware with a strong understanding of client drivers
- Able to build trusted relationships with clients and colleagues
- Interested in developing sector knowledge and contributing to business development
- Cost-conscious and thoughtful in approach to matter management
Working Arrangements
- 35-hour working week (9:30am–5:30pm, with flexibility where required)
- Hybrid working model – up to 40% remote, 60% office-based
- Agile and flexible working encouraged
