Senior Relationship Manager – Structured Real Estate

Location: UK, London

Working Pattern: Hybrid


Summary:


We are seeking an experienced Senior Relationship Manager to join a specialist Structured Real Estate team within a growing bank.


This is a client-facing role focused on originating, structuring, and managing UK real estate finance transactions. The successful candidate will play a key role in growing and managing the Structured Real Estate portfolio while ensuring full compliance with internal risk frameworks and regulatory requirements.


The role offers the opportunity to work in a high-performance, collaborative environment with strong exposure to senior stakeholders and high-quality real estate clients.


Key Responsibilities


  • Source new UK real estate finance opportunities primarily through direct client relationships, with a focus on developing business from core clients and expanding existing relationships.
  • Structure and negotiate transactions, prepare and submit credit applications, and support the due diligence and execution process through to completion.
  • Conduct detailed financial analysis and modelling, including base case and downside scenarios, identifying key risks and appropriate mitigation strategies.
  • Manage transactions post-completion through to redemption, including annual credit reviews, covenant monitoring, KYC updates, and maintaining accurate management information and documentation.
  • Ensure all activities comply with internal policies, regulatory requirements, and the Bank’s risk appetite framework.
  • Monitor late or non-payments, manage client communications, and support resolution of any issues or complaints.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with high-quality property market professionals including advisers, agents, valuers, and lawyers.
  • Meet individual and team financial targets, including new origination, repeat business, income generation, and client retention.
  • Provide technical real estate expertise and support to internal stakeholders where required.
  • Contribute to a high-performance, collaborative team culture, demonstrating flexibility, professionalism, and a strong focus on delivering positive client outcomes.


Requirements:


  • 5+ years’ experience in UK real estate and real estate finance (commercial and/or residential sectors).
  • Strong client-facing experience, particularly with High Net Worth (HNW) clients.
  • Proven track record of delivering against financial targets.
  • Experience working collaboratively across teams and contributing to project-based initiatives.
  • Strong knowledge of the UK real estate market.
  • Ability to originate, assess and filter opportunities, and make well-reasoned recommendations.
  • Strong financial analysis and basic modelling skills (Excel or equivalent).
  • Solid understanding of underwriting, due diligence, structuring and risk mitigation.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • High attention to detail with a strong focus on accuracy and quality.
  • Self-sufficient with a proactive, “can-do” attitude.
  • Team-oriented, open and collaborative working style.
