Junior National Account Manager – Grocery
Signature are once again exclusively partnering with one of the UK’s most exciting high-growth FMCG challenger brands to recruit a Junior National Account Manager to join their expanding Grocery team.
In a category that continues to evolve rapidly, this brand is redefining what “soft drinks” means by positioning itself as a clean, modern alternative and leading the healthy hydration movement. The business has delivered a high YoY growth each year since it was founded, achieved a huge revenue already, and is on track to scale significantly over the next three years.

The Opportunity
This role will report into the Head of Grocery meaning close mentoring from one of the best in the business, while also experiencing actual ownership of key national accounts, including Ocado, M&S and Coop. Not only this, but you will also support on strategic growth accounts such as Sainsbury’s and Tesco. You will have real ownership of your own accounts, having full P&L responsibility, and the opportunity to gain exposure on larger accounts, and influence customer strategy, activation and growth plans.
What You’ll Be Responsible For
- Managing day-to-day relationships with buyers and wider customer teams
- Delivering customer plans across distribution, space, promotions and activation
- Owning elements of the P&L and delivering agreed sales targets
- Tracking performance across accounts and identifying risks and opportunities
- Supporting new product launches and range extensions
- Building compelling, insight-led selling stories
- Forecasting accurately to ensure strong availability and supply planning
- Working cross-functionally with Brand, Design and Category to deliver best-in-class execution
A key focus will be unlocking further growth in online and premium grocery, while supporting the wider team as new major accounts scale following recent launches!
About You
We’re looking for someone early in their account management career who is hungry to take ownership and grow within a scaling FMCG environment.
You will ideally have:
- 1 year minimum experience working with UK grocery/retail customers in FMCG
- A solid understanding of how grocery retailers operate
- Strong numerical capability and growing confidence managing P&L lines
- Solid understanding of data analysis- must be comfortable using data to form recommendations, spot trends and patterns to build customer presentations
- The ability to build positive, credible relationships with buyers
- A proactive, organised approach with the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Commercial curiosity and a desire to develop
