Job Description: Territory Sales Manager


Excellent basic salary plus a 20% bonus opportunity, fully expensed company vehicle, fuel card, 25 days holiday, generous pension provision, private medical and dental schemes, workwear and product discounts.


As a Territory Sales Manager, you will play a central role in launching STIHL’s direct-to-market approach in Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland. You will combine commercial insight, structured planning and relationship-building skills to assess, prioritise and grow the territory.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Visit potential STIHL dealers to understand their perception of STIHL and assess each customer’s commercial value and growth potential
  • Act as a key member of the market launch team, helping to successfully transition from distributor to direct supply
  • Develop a comprehensive regional business plan, forecasting sales by customer and product segment
  • Drive sales growth by achieving agreed revenue and performance targets
  • Deliver product training and in-store merchandising support, both personally and in collaboration with specialist colleagues
  • Build strong, sustainable partnerships with dealers, positioning STIHL as their supplier of choice
  • Monitor performance and provide regular reporting against objectives and targets

Key Skills/Experience Required:


Proven track record in field-based sales, territory management or account development

  • Strong commercial and analytical capability, with experience building business plans and forecasting
  • Skilled at influencing and building long-term customer relationships
  • Comfortable working autonomously in a newly created role
  • Resilient, structured and results-driven
  • Experience within tools, machinery, agricultural, hardware or related sectors would be advantageous
