Role Description

We are hiring certified facial expression researchers to work on a short-term AI research project.

The Facial Action Coding System (FACS) is a scientifically validated method developed by psychologists Paul Ekman and Wallace Friesen for objectively measuring human facial movements. FACS-certified specialists are trained to watch video footage frame-by-frame and identify specific muscle movements, called Action Units (AUs), that correspond to emotions like happiness, fear, disgust, or surprise. This work requires formal certification and is a specialised skill found primarily among psychologists, behavioural scientists, and affective computing researchers.

What You'll Do

• Evaluate short video clips against pre-generated prompts to verify whether the facial expressions and emotions captured match the expected output
• Meet project deadlines while working independently and remotely

Qualifications

• FACS certification and advanced expertise in applying the system to analyse facial expressions
• Strong detail-oriented analytical and observation skills
• Proficiency in documenting and presenting analytical findings in both written and visual formats
• Experience with AI-related projects or understanding of emotion and behaviour analysis is a plus
• Excellent communication and time-management skills with the ability to meet contractual goals in a remote setting
• High level of written English proficiency
