MedicsPro is partnering with an NHS Therapy Care Group to deliver specialist paediatric dietetic support across outpatient & community services in Shropshire and Telford & Wrekin.

About the Role

Locum Specialist Paediatric Dietitian (Band 6/7) – Remote – Full time (37.5 hrs)

Responsibilities

• Assess, treat and evaluate paediatric patients with complex needs; create tailored care plans.
• Lead precise calculations and monitoring for special diets and paediatric enteral feeds (incl. HEF).
• Run paediatric outpatient clinics and contribute to MDTs (diabetes, metabolic, allergy).
• Coordinate safe, well‑planned community care and follow‑up, including discharge and equipment.
• Collaborate with nursing, medical, GP and catering teams; develop evidence‑based patient information.

Qualifications

Confident autonomous practitioner in paediatric dietetics with excellent communication skills.

Required Skills

• Skilled in anthropometrics, interpreting biochemistry and complex nutritional calculations.
• Governance‑minded, organised and comfortable with changing priorities.
