Forward Deployed Engineer

Job description

We’re hiring a Forward Deployed Engineer to join a category-defining, AI-native enterprise platform transforming how complex financial decisions are made.

Backed by significant late-stage venture funding, the company has scaled rapidly to a 150+ person team with a deeply technical engineering core, achieved multi-million dollar revenue within its first few years, and is already live in production with major enterprise customers. Well-capitalised, commercially proven, and positioned to define a new category in its market.

What You’ll Do

• Lead 8–12+ week technical implementations
• Write and push production backend code
• Own API integrations and complex data workflows
• Debug SQL, async services, and distributed systems
• Work directly with customer engineering teams
• Influence product roadmap from the field

This is hands-on engineering in production, alongside customers.

You’ll sit at the intersection of product, engineering, and real-world deployment - shipping code that directly impacts underwriting and portfolio performance at some of the largest insurers in the world.

What We’re Looking For

• Strong backend engineering fundamentals (Python, TypeScript, or similar)
• Deep comfort with SQL (joins, aggregations, performance tradeoffs)
• Experience shipping production systems in B2B SaaS
• API fluency: designing, debugging, integrating
• Comfort reasoning about distributed systems and async behavior
• Strong communication - you can explain technical tradeoffs to non-technical stakeholders
• You currently write code. Daily.

Compensation

UK: Senior-level London benchmark comp + bonus + equity
