Electrical Service Engineer

Tower Cranes | Major UK Infrastructure Projects | £95,000 to £110,000 OTE


We are recruiting on behalf of a leading tower crane manufacturer for experienced electrically biased engineers to work on large scale infrastructure projects across the UK.

This role will focus on the installation, commissioning, maintenance and fault finding of tower cranes on high profile sites including Hinkley Point, Sellafield and Sizewell. Engineers must be based within reasonable travelling distance of these locations or be fully prepared to travel and lodge when required.


The Role

You will be responsible for:

  • Electrical fault finding on tower cranes
  • Commissioning and decommissioning cranes
  • Carrying out planned preventative maintenance
  • Diagnosing and resolving PLC and control system issues
  • Supporting breakdown response on live construction sites
  • Ensuring all work is carried out in line with site safety procedures


This is a technically demanding position working on complex lifting equipment in regulated, safety critical environments.


What We Are Looking For

  • Strong electrical bias with experience on heavy plant, cranes or similar equipment
  • Proven fault finding ability on control systems and electrical circuits
  • Experience working on tower cranes is highly desirable
  • Crane Supervisor tickets would be a significant advantage
  • Comfortable working on major infrastructure or nuclear sites
  • Full UK driving licence


Engineers with experience on mobile cranes, crawler cranes, port cranes or other heavy lifting equipment are also encouraged to apply if they have a strong electrical background.


Location Requirements

You must be located near, or willing to travel to:

  • Hinkley Point C
  • Sellafield
  • Sizewell C


Work will be project based, so flexibility to move between sites is important.
