CAD Technician

Job description

A UK leading contractor are looking for a CAD Technician to join their growing and busy team in London. The role sits within a growing BIM team and focuses on producing and developing high‑quality CAD drawings to support both pre‑construction planning and live project delivery. You’ll work closely with the pre‑con team to translate early design information into accurate 2D and reduced 3D models, as well as support ongoing projects with updated drawings, mark‑ups, and 3D scanning outputs. The role requires strong AutoCAD skills, a solid understanding of construction principles, and the ability to collaborate with engineers, designers, and project teams. You’ll be part of a tight-knit group of three, reporting directly to Giancarlo, with plenty of exposure to real project workflows and modern BIM processes.

The ideal candidate brings 1–2 years of CAD experience and a genuine interest in construction—whether from site engineering, technical studies, or hands‑on exposure. You don’t need extensive site experience, but you should understand how buildings come together from the ground up and be ambitious about developing your technical capability. This is a Holborn‑based office role with some flexibility (one day WFH), offering around £40k for the right person.
