Senior Research Engineer - Conversational AI In-office (Location TBC)

Recruiting for a leading conversational AI platform backed by tier-1 investors that's redefining customer experience for enterprise brands.

About the company: They power AI agents for industry-defining companies, delivering personalized customer interactions across voice, chat, email, and SMS. Their technology is moving customer experience beyond support tickets and hold music to faster resolutions and richer conversations.

The team: The Research team builds the model and decision-making stack powering enterprise conversational agents. They work on state-of-the-art techniques in model training, prompting, orchestration, and evaluation to make agents more accurate, robust, and efficient in real-world deployments.

What you'll do:

• Lead research and engineering to improve conversational capabilities (instruction following, retrieval, memory, long-horizon tasks)
• Build end-to-end models and pipelines optimizing for quality, efficiency, and UX
• Take research ideas from prototype to production with measurable impact
• Own multi-quarter initiatives pushing agent reliability and capability forward
• Design frontier approaches for training, evaluation, and orchestration
• Partner with platform/product engineers on production integration

You have:

✅ 5+ years in AI/ML engineering or research

✅ Experience post-training and deploying LLMs in production

✅ Strong Python and modern ML tooling (training, evaluation, data pipelines)

✅ Track record shipping research from prototype to reliable production impact

✅ Ability to break down ambiguous research into clear milestones
