System Engineering Manager

Copello are supporting a leading defence technology organisation within the Cyber domain in the search for an experienced Systems Engineering Manager professional. This is an opportunity to play a key role in delivering advanced, secure capability solutions within highly regulated and mission-critical environments.

What you’ll do

• Lead engineering delivery across complex programmes and projects.
• Oversee system architecture, integration and lifecycle compliance.
• Manage engineering budgets, schedules, risks and resource planning.
• Support bid activities and drive improvements to cost, schedule and margin.
• Act as a senior technical point of contact for customers and internal stakeholders.
• Ensure engineering artefacts meet required standards and governance frameworks.

What you’ll bring

• Strong background in Systems Engineering across the full lifecycle.
• Experience delivering hardware and/or software-based capability solutions.
• Proven leadership of multidisciplinary engineering teams.
• Solid understanding of engineering governance, risk management and cost control.
• Experience within defence, aerospace or secure technology environments highly desirable.
