We are currently seeking a QHSE Engineer to join our Subsea Division.


Location

  • Liverpool, United Kingdom/Den Helder, Netherlands.


Core Purpose

  • Support the QHSE Leads in supporting the OEG Subsea Division in maintaining the highest standards of QHSE across all projects.
  • Develop and maintain project-specific QHSE documentation to ensure compliance with the OEG Subsea management system while aligning stakeholder requirements.
  • Provide QHSE support to in-country facilities as required.


Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Project Management, Engineering, and Asset Management, to integrate OEG Subsea division QHSE processes into project-specific documentation.
  • Support the development of risk assessments and hazard identification for all project activities.
  • Support the investigation of undesirable events.
  • Where practicable, attend mobilisations to support and verify QHSE compliance.
  • Provide operational support, training, and guidance to ensure QHSE standards and awareness are understood and consistently maintained.
  • Attend project meetings as the Company QHSE representative.
  • Support host nation facilities teams by attending workplace inspections and providing guidance on the development of safe working practices.
  • Provide support and guidance in the development and completion of COSHH, noise, vibration, and other relevant QHSE assessments and processes.
  • Assist in the development of QHSE campaigns, including safety flashes and lessons learnt publications.
  • Facilitate HSE training and familiarisation for permanent staff, offshore personnel, and subcontractors.
  • Provide QHSE support to the wider organisation as required.


Skills and Experience

  • Experience in the offshore energy, renewables, or a related sector is preferable.
  • Awareness of industry standards (e.g. IMCA, IRATA) and relevant legislation.
  • Awareness of ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001.
  • Awareness of risk assessment techniques such as HIRA and HAZOP.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office applications.
  • Good command of the English language, both spoken and written.
  • Ability to cooperate effectively with team members and other departments.
  • Strong organisational skills, with the ability to plan, prioritise, and complete tasks efficiently.


Qualifications

  • Qualification in safety, health, and environment, or equivalent.
