Job description
A leading UK-based engineering and manufacturing organisation is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer with strong PLC programming and control systems expertise to deliver technical projects across multiple sites.
This business operates in a highly regulated, electrically intensive environment, focusing on energy efficiency, infrastructure upgrades, and building services improvements. The role is predominantly remote, based in Nottingham, with occasional travel to other sites.
Key Requirements:
- Proven experience delivering projects in an electrical engineering, M&E, or industrial control systems environment
- Hands-on experience with PLC programming, control systems, and electrical systems
- Recognised electrical qualifications (essential)
- Strong knowledge of energy conservation and efficiency initiatives
- Experience managing subcontractors, programmes, costs, and on-site activities
- Confident working autonomously and remotely, with occasional site visits
Contract Details:
- Outside IR35
- £35–£40 per hour (depending on experience)
- Minimum 6-month contract with clear scope to extend
- Remote-first role based in Nottingham, with occasional travel to other sites
