aka Recruitment is currently recruiting for an experienced Automotive Service Manager to lead a busy motor trade service department in Wakefield. This is an excellent opportunity for a driven Motor Trade Service Manager / Aftersales Manager to join a well-established dealership and take ownership of the aftermarket service operation.

The Role – Automotive Service Manager

As Service Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the automotive service department, ensuring efficient workshop performance, exceptional customer satisfaction, and strong commercial results.

Key responsibilities include:

• Managing the service department operations within a busy automotive dealership
• Leading, coaching, and motivating service advisors and workshop technicians
• Monitoring workshop productivity, efficiency, and profitability
• Ensuring high levels of customer service and CSI scores
• Overseeing vehicle servicing, repairs, and maintenance processes
• Managing service bookings, workflow, and workshop scheduling
• Ensuring compliance with motor trade and manufacturer standards
• Driving service department revenue, upsell opportunities, and retention

Automotive Service Manager – Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will ideally have:

• Proven experience as an Automotive Service Manager / Aftersales Manager / Service Team Leader
• Strong background in the motor trade or automotive dealership environment
• Experience managing workshop operations and service teams
• A strong focus on customer satisfaction and service excellence
• Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills
• A hands-on management style with the ability to drive performance
