Business Development Manager

Strictly Recruitment is looking for a Business Development Manager

Job description

Business Development Manager – Finance

London | Hybrid

We are delighted to be partnering with our client, a leading international professional services firm, to recruit a Business Development Manager supporting their high‑performing Finance practice across the UK and Europe.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a genuinely lovely, collaborative, and non‑hierarchical team, where people work closely together, share knowledge openly, and support one another’s success. If you’re looking for a BD role where your ideas are valued and your contribution is truly recognised, this could be the perfect next step.

The Role

As BD Manager, you will play a pivotal role in driving strategic initiatives, elevating the Finance practice’s profile, and supporting senior stakeholders. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Developing and supporting business plans, budgets, and strategic priorities for the Finance practice
  • Partnering with partner‑level leaders to deliver marketing campaigns and key growth initiatives
  • Leading the preparation of RFPs, pitches, and client presentations
  • Creating thought leadership and market‑facing campaigns across digital and traditional channels
  • Managing seminars, sponsorships, webinars, and other high‑value events
  • Providing insightful market and competitor research
  • Ensuring BD materials, bios, and web content remain accurate and compelling
  • Facilitating communication and reporting across teams and stakeholders

You’ll work closely with colleagues across BD, Marketing, PR, and the wider practice — always within a supportive, team‑first environment.

What You’ll Bring

  • Experience in business development, marketing or communications (professional services or financial services preferred, law firm experience would be a great bonus)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent organisational skills and an ability to manage multiple priorities
  • A proactive mindset, with confidence to take initiative while thriving in a collaborative setting
  • Strong analytical and research capability
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
  • Open to candidates making a step up from Senior Exec.
