About the Role
Join our US Product Development team, where we build innovative retail systems for Sportsbooks and hotel check-in kiosks across the US. As a senior developer, you’ll lead backend development, mentor engineers, and shape the future of our technology stack. We’re looking fora collaborative, results-driven professional who values simplicity, ownership, and continuous learning.
Key Responsibilities
Technical Leadership
- Design and build Java microservices using modern Java and Spring Framework
- Architect scalable, fault-tolerant, high-performance systems
- Lead initiatives to improve code quality, reduce technical debt, and enhance CI/CD pipelines
- Promote functional programming and internal open-source practices
- Mentor junior and mid-level developers, fostering a culture of growth and excellence
- Facilitate team debugging and problem-solving sessions
Strategic Impact
- Influence architecture and technical direction across the team
- Write clean, maintainable code that supports long-term scalability and team contributions
- Define and uphold development standards and best practices
- Lead and participate in production support, including on-call rotation
Collaboration & Delivery
- Work closely with QA to ensure high-quality software delivery
- Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement and innovation
- Collaborate across teams and time zones to deliver impactful solutions
- Help drive the evolution of next-generation sports betting technology
What You’ll Bring
Experience
- 5+ years of professional Java development experience
- Deep expertise in Spring Framework and microservices architecture
- Proven ability to mentor and develop engineering talent
- Strong background in messaging systems (Kafka, RabbitMQ)
- Proficiency with AWS, Docker, SQL/NoSQL, and automated testing
- Experience in Agile environments with a DevOps mindset
