- Driving a step change in safety leadership and culture across the site
- Providing strong leadership across operations, maintenance and engineering teams
- Ensuring compliance with COMAH regulations, process safety standards and HSE frameworks
- Maintaining high standards of process safety, operational risk management and asset integrity
- Supporting the delivery of shutdowns, improvement programmes and operational projects
- Acting as a key site interface with regulators and external stakeholders
- Driving operational KPIs, performance improvement and continuous improvement initiatives
- Developing and strengthening leadership capability across operational teams
This is a highly visible leadership position requiring someone comfortable leading from the front, setting expectations and driving accountability across the site.
About You
You will be an experienced operational leader with a strong track record within major hazard or COMAH environments.
You bring a balance of operational credibility and safety leadership, and understand the responsibility that comes with managing complex industrial operations.
We are particularly interested in individuals who can demonstrate:
- Proven operational leadership within COMAH, chemicals, energy, gas or process manufacturing environments
- Strong knowledge of process safety, COMAH regulations and major hazard risk management
- Clear examples of leading and improving safety culture and performance
- Experience managing complex operations and multidisciplinary teams
- The ability to influence and engage teams across operations, maintenance and engineering
- A technical or engineering background (degree or equivalent experience preferred)
- A recognised safety qualification such as NEBOSH or equivalent
- The credibility and presence to engage with regulators, senior leaders and operational teams
You will be a hands-on, visible leader who understands that strong operational performance and strong safety leadership go hand-in-hand.
Why Consider It?
- A senior operational leadership role within a COMAH-regulated facility
- The opportunity to shape safety culture and operational standards
- A technically complex and interesting industrial operation
- A visible role with influence across the wider business
