CAD Designer

Job description

Visum Recruitment has the pleasure of representing our client in the Manufacturing Industry, who are on the lookout for a CAD Designer to join them on a full-time, permanent basis at their site in Banbury.

The ideal candidate will have strong AutoCAD capability with a focus on 2D design, primarily producing factory layouts and conducting site surveys. This role is suited to someone with a solid working knowledge of Autodesk software who is looking to further develop their technical expertise and product knowledge within an established engineering business. This is not a managerial position.

CAD Designer Job Overview

• Producing detailed 2D factory layouts using AutoCAD
• Carrying out site surveys and translating findings into accurate technical drawings
• Working closely with internal teams to ensure designs meet project and client requirements
• Developing product knowledge over time to support equipment recommendations
• Ensuring all drawings and documentation are completed accurately and in line with company standards
• Supporting the wider engineering and project teams with technical design input

CAD Designer Job Requirements

• Strong proficiency in AutoCAD with a focus on 2D design
• Solid working knowledge of Autodesk software
• Experience producing factory layouts and technical drawings
• Ability to manage workload effectively and meet project deadlines
• Strong attention to detail and technical accuracy
• Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team

CAD Designer Salary & Benefits

• Junior Level – £30,000 - £40,000
• Senior Level – £40,000 - £50,000
• 25 days annual leave + bank holidays
• 8:30am – 5pm Monday – Friday
• Onsite parking
