Duration: Up to 18 Months with a view to extend

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review and approve RAMS for all civils and associated trade activities, ensuring compliance with site safety procedures, statutory regulations, and live production constraints. Drive safe systems of work through pre-start briefings, toolbox talks, and continuous monitoring of site practices.
  • Coordinate multi-disciplinary construction activities across civils, mechanical, electrical, and specialist vendors within a phased refurbishment programme. Manage interfaces between contractors, engineering teams, and plant operations to maintain programme continuity while minimising disruption to ongoing production.
  • Plan and supervise complex heavy equipment lifting operations, including lift studies, crane positioning, ground bearing assessments, and exclusion zone management. Ensure all lifting activities are executed in accordance with approved lift plans, OEM requirements, and site-specific safety standards.
  • Manage site logistics, sequencing, and access control within a live manufacturing environment, ensuring works are delivered safely, on programme, and in alignment with shutdown windows and operational constraints.
  • Oversee subcontractor performance and quality compliance, ensuring works are delivered to specification, inspection test plans (ITPs), and project quality standards, while maintaining accurate site records and progress reporting.



Qualifications:

  • Degree or Higher National Diploma (HND/HNC) in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related discipline
  • Alternatively: Trade background with extensive site management progression
  • SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme)
  • CSCS Black Card (Manager Level)
  • First Aid at Work
  • Temporary Works Coordinator (TWC) or Supervisor (TWS)
  • Appointed Person for Lifting Operations (or strong lifting management certification)
  • Manual Handling & Risk Assessment Training
