Job description

We are partnering with a well-established business group to find an experienced Payroll Officer to join their team in Kings Langley — taking ownership of a varied and busy payroll function across a multi-site organisation.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a hands-on payroll professional who thrives on accuracy, enjoys working closely with HR, and wants to be a genuine key player in the smooth running of the business.

The Role

You'll be the first point of contact for all things payroll — supporting both in-house and outsourced payroll processes for the group, working alongside the HR team and reporting into the HR Director.

Day to day you'll be responsible for:

  • Processing monthly payroll including starters, leavers, statutory payments, holiday pay, overtime and pension contributions
  • Uploading pension contributions to the pensions portal
  • Ensuring accurate data transfer between HR and payroll systems
  • Producing payroll reports for Senior Management
  • Managing employee benefits including joiners, leavers and annual renewals
  • Administering salary sacrifice schemes such as cycle to work and childcare vouchers
  • Handling payroll queries from employees and providing clear guidance to departments
  • Supporting implementation projects and ensuring compliance with legal regulations
  • Exposure to international payroll processes

What We're Looking For

  • Strong end-to-end payroll experience within a multi-site organisation — essential
  • Intermediate/Advanced Excel skills including VLOOKUP, HLOOKUP, SUMIFS, COUNTIFS, IF functions and PivotTables
  • Knowledge of ADP iHCM systems — highly desirable
  • Excellent attention to detail with a high level of accuracy
  • Ability to handle confidential information with absolute discretion
  • Strong communication and organisational skills
  • A hands-on, can-do attitude with the ability to juggle multiple deadlines

What's on Offer

  • Full time, office-based role | 9:00am – 5:30pm Monday to Friday
  • 33 days holiday including UK bank holidays
  • Employee Assistance Programme (EAP)
  • Health & Fitness Discount Vouchers
  • Free staff parking
  • Christmas & Birthday vouchers
  • Dress Down Fridays
  • Staff Rewards Voucher Scheme
  • Staff Referral Scheme
  • Paid volunteering days
  • Eye care vouchers & free flu vaccination
