The Role


Legal PA - Corporate - Birmingham City Centre

What You’ll Be Doing:


  • Collaborating with finance teams to oversee billing, matter balances, and working capital
  • Managing the full matter lifecycle, from opening files and applying correct rates to drafting engagement letters and liaising with compliance teams
  • Supporting conflict checks and client due diligence, ensuring timely and accurate completion of the Client Matter Inception (CMI) process
  • Coordinating complex diary and travel arrangements for senior stakeholders
  • Organising internal and client events, including training sessions, inductions, and assessment centres
  • Providing support to the centralised paralegal team and other key departments
  • Planning and booking intricate travel itineraries with a focus on efficiency and value
  • Managing meeting logistics, including preparation of documents, room bookings, and hospitality
  • Overseeing task management workflows to ensure timely and high-quality delivery
  • Liaising with document production teams for formatting and finalising legal and business documents
  • Applying excellent technical and organisational skills across a broad range of administrative support tasks
  • Ensuring full compliance with internal risk, training, and governance policies


The Candidate


  • At least 5 years’ experience supporting senior Partners in a leading City or international firm ideally from a professional services background
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with outstanding attention to detail
  • A calm, professional, and proactive approach to managing a fast-paced workload
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Office and a willingness to embrace new technology
  • Strong time management skills with the ability to juggle multiple priorities
  • A collaborative and positive team player with a genuine commitment to service excellence
