Partnering with a high-growth bespoke software consultancy

SR2 are partnering with an ambitious Bristol-based digital consultancy to hire a Senior Technical Consultant who blends hands-on technical expertise with strong client advisory capability.

This is a high-impact, client-facing role focused on technical pre-sales, solution architecture, consultancy delivery, and shaping innovative offerings (including AI-led solutions).

What you’ll be doing:

Technical Pre-Sales & Client Advisory

• Leading technical engagements during pre-sales cycles
• Defining solution approaches and owning technical estimations
• Joining client calls to understand requirements and present solutions
• Acting as a trusted technical advisor to senior stakeholders

Solution Definition & Innovation

• Designing robust, scalable, and innovative technical architectures
• Documenting solution approaches and articulating technical trade-offs
• Proactively introducing emerging technologies (including AI)
• Working alongside senior technical leads to validate approaches

Consultancy & Discovery

• Running technology audits, discovery workshops, and phased assessments
• Delivering proofs-of-concept and strategic recommendations
• Analysing client systems to identify risks and opportunities

Proposal & Commercial Support

• Contributing to Statements of Work and proposal documentation
• Clearly communicating scope, risks, and delivery approach
• Supporting the commercial win process with credible technical leadership

What they’re looking for:

• Significant experience in a client-facing technical consultancy or leadership role
• (Technical Lead, Solution Architect, Technical Consultant)
• Proven pre-sales experience including solution definition and estimation
• Strong stakeholder management at senior level
• Experience designing and documenting scalable technical solutions
• Experience delivering discovery phases, audits, and strategic recommendations
• Broad exposure to multiple tech stacks and industries
• Strong awareness of modern and emerging technologies
