STM Environmental Consultants is growing, and we’re looking for an experienced Senior Geotechnical / Environmental Consultant to join our team.

While STM operates independently with its own strong reputation and client base, we are also part of a wider group of geo-environmental companies. You will lead and manage geo-environmental site investigations while playing a key role in client liaison, regulatory engagement, and business development.

This is an ideal opportunity for someone ready to step into (or further develop in) a senior position with project leadership and people management responsibility.

  • Project managing geo-environmental site investigations , flood risk assessments, and ecology projects
  • Producing and reviewing factual and interpretative reports
  • Peer reviewing technical reports
  • Liaising with Local Authority regulators
  • Preparing quotations and supporting business development
  • Managing and mentoring junior staff
  • Liaising with and working along side other colleagues in the wider Phenna Infrastructure division

✅ Skills & Experience Required

  • Extensive experience in:
  • Geotechnical ground investigations
  • Contaminated land risk assessments
  • Excellent technical report writing skills
  • Strong IT proficiency
  • Experience managing projects and people
  • Strong communication and client-facing skills
