Recruitment Consultant

Morson Edge is looking for a Recruitment Consultant

Job description

About Us:

We were founded back in 1969 and have grown from very humble beginnings to a £1.3b global technical recruitment specialist organisation. With over 30 offices UK wide, Canada, USA, Australia and across Europe, we are the UK's leading technical recruitment agency and the 3rd largest globally.

About the Role:

We’re looking for a Recruitment Consultant to support the delivery of skilled trades roles, including welders and electricians, across several key UK clients.

This is a contract recruitment position, so the environment is naturally fast-paced and high-volume. The focus is purely on candidate delivery – there is no sales element to this role.

Previous recruitment experience would be highly desirable. However, we’re equally open to individuals new to recruitment who can demonstrate strong transferable skills, resilience, and the right attitude to build a long-term career in the industry.

We’ve built long-standing partnerships within the Aerospace & Defence sector, so we’re looking for someone proactive, personable, and motivated to succeed in a busy, delivery-focused environment.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Managing a high volume of contract roles for our Aerospace & Defence clients
  • Negotiating contractor pay rates and margins
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with key clients
  • Working collaboratively within a high-performing, supportive team

About you:

  • Previous experience in recruitment or a customer-focused role such as retail, customer service, call centre, or customer-facing administration where communication, organisation, and relationship-building skills are key.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
  • Confident communicator, both on the phone and in writing
  • Strong customer, candidate, and client engagement skills
  • Intermediate Excel skills or willingness to develop them
  • Proactive, “go-getter” attitude - happy to pick up the phone and speak with candidates and clients
  • A team player who builds positive working relationships with colleagues, candidates, and clients

What do you get in return:

  • Discretionary Quarterly Bonus Scheme (performance based)
  • 26 days holiday (plus bank holidays)
  • Investment into your learning & development
  • A colleague health and well-being programme
  • Free access to onsite gym and discounted gym membership rates
  • Rooftop bar & social area access
  • Access to meritocracy initiative schemes – we’ve just been to the Dominican Republic!
  • Mental health support via free confidential advice and counselling services.
  • Access to free wellbeing apps
  • Free parking
  • Soon to be built new onsite Coffee House.

Please note that initially, you will be required to work onsite at our HQ in Salford throughout the training period, but there is flexibility to work on a hybrid basis once fully self sufficient in the role (3 days in the office, 2 days from home per week).
