Our client, a leader in the Retail sector, is seeking a dedicated Health and Safety Officer to support their operations across their Retail, Manufacturing, Logistics, and Wholesale sites in the North of England. This is an incredible opportunity for a proactive and solution-driven professional to make a real difference by embedding a culture of safety throughout the organisation.

You will be responsible for:

• Conduct site audits and inspections to identify risks and opportunities for improvement.
• Provide guidance on risk assessments, safe systems of work, and incident investigations.
• Collaborate with managers, employees, and safety representatives to implement and maintain best practices.
• Ensure compliance with current health and safety legislation, offering practical, business-aligned solutions.
• Promote a proactive safety culture through knowledge sharing and leadership.

About you:

• NEBOSH General Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety or equivalent (essential).
• Proven experience in audits, compliance, and risk management within multi-site or complex organisations. Ideally 2+ years' experience.
• An adaptable problem-solver with strong communication and influencing skills.
• Up-to-date knowledge of health and safety legislation and industry best practices.
• Organised and detail-focused, with a consistent commitment to high standards.
