Title of the position: Global Medical Affairs Manager – Fertility
Reports to: Global Medical Affairs Director
Main missions and responsibilities + expected results:
Accountability 1: Maintain high level medical know-how in fertility & obstetrics and utilise effectively
Expected result:
- Support the execution of global medical plans that serve as a supporting tool for countries including top priority international activities.
- Deliver strategic projects each year as delegated by the Global Medical Affairs Director Maintain strong collaboration with local medical and local/global commercial teams
- Serve as the knowledge centre on existing fertility franchise with strong insights on the competitive environment.
Accountability 2: Training and Medical Education
Expected result:
- Be an internal subject matter expert and provide therapeutic area and product knowledge and scientific training to BH employees.
- Generate new and update existing content and drive the success of both internal and external educational platforms. Work collaboratively with other global functions to ensure that the information contained in our educational platforms is up to date and of the highest quality.
- Work closely with global key opinion leaders to produce high-level, cutting-edge education related to the BH fertility franchise
- Secure affiliates contribution to content creation and sharing of best practices
Accountability 3: External communication and KOL engagement
Expected result:
- Generate new, or build on key international opinion leader relationships and represent the company in key meetings and congresses as per global medical affairs strategy and KOL engagement plan Utilise global professional networks to generate more medical support for BH on the global stage Occasional travel (30%) will be a feature of this role, focusing on scientific engagement with HCPs to help meet BH strategic objectives.
Accountability 4: Medical compliance
Expected result:
- Ensure that all activities and interactions comply with regulations and Besins’ guidance, policies, and procedures
- Participate in SOP development related to medical affairs activities.
- Work within and adhere to approved global medical affairs budgets. Contribute to budget planning processes and forecasts
Expected competencies:
- Medical or Life Science Degree or other related discipline
- Minimum of 5 years of Medical Affairs experience gained in the pharmaceutical industry or 2 years of experience with relevant scientific background and specific familiarity with women’s health.
- Direct previous experience in KOL engagement and delivery of medical/scientific training.
- Ability to manage and collaborate with a group of world-leading experts and cross functional stakeholders.
- Well organized with the ability to multitask, prioritize and manage shifting responsibilities in a dynamic, cross-functional teamwork environment.
- Have a communicative and collaborative working style. Be able to partner effectively with colleagues cross-functionally across the organization.
- Strong interpersonal and organizational skills plus excellent verbal and written communication skills with a strong attention to detail are required
- ‘Can-do’ attitude willing to roll up sleeves as needed.
