Are you an experienced CAD Engineer with a background in automation and materials handling systems? Do you thrive on developing technical solutions from first principles and turning concepts into precise, build-ready drawings?

We are recruiting for a CAD Engineer to support high-impact warehouse automation and materials handling projects.

The Role

You will play a key role in supporting the Solution Design Team and delivering high-quality technical drawings and equipment applications for complex automation systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support solution development across multiple automation projects
• Lead preparation of detailed technical drawings and equipment layouts
• Develop concept designs and translate them into precise manufacturing drawings
• Collaborate closely with Solutions and Engineering teams to refine system designs
• Ensure drawings meet industry standards and internal guidelines
• Manage drawing files, libraries and version control processes
• Mentor junior engineers in system design and specification
• Stay up to date with industry technologies and best practices

✅ What We’re Looking For

• Degree qualified (or 5+ years’ experience) in material handling system design
• Expert user of AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Inventor or similar CAD software
• Strong understanding of materials handling processes, tolerances and system integration
• Ability to create accurate concept designs and detailed technical drawings from first principles
• Knowledge of structural analysis and load calculations
• Strong problem-solving skills and exceptional attention to detail
• Confident communicator, comfortable working across multidisciplinary teams
• Able to manage multiple projects independently
