Role Overview:

We are seeking a Paralegal to join our Private Client team. The role involves assisting solicitors with client matters, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and exceptional service. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated law graduate or junior legal professional to gain hands-on experience in private client law.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drafting and reviewing wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and probate documents.
  • Assisting with estate planning and administration.
  • Conducting legal research on relevant statutes, case law, and regulations.
  • Preparing and filing court and HMRC forms related to probate and tax matters.
  • Liaising with clients, beneficiaries, trustees, and external parties.
  • Maintaining accurate case files, documentation, and records.
  • Supporting solicitors with compliance, reporting, and due diligence.
  • Attending client meetings and taking notes as required.

Essential Requirements:

  • Law degree (LLB) or equivalent; LPC or LLM preferred.
  • Interest in private client law, including probate, trusts, and estate planning.
  • Excellent attention to detail, organisation, and time management.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and legal case management systems.
  • Professional, client-focused approach with discretion and integrity.

Desirable Skills / Experience:

  • Previous experience in private client, probate, or trusts work.
  • Familiarity with tax and estate administration processes.
  • Exposure to drafting and managing legal documents.
  • Experience in client-facing interactions in a professional setting.
