Due to continued growth, we’re looking for an experienced Lighting Designer to join our friendly and professional team at Kingfisher Lighting.

This is a fantastic opportunity to work on high-quality exterior lighting projects, including sports and high mast schemes, while developing your expertise in a supportive, forward-thinking environment.

You’ll be responsible for creating lighting designs that meet customer needs, advising on best practice and product selection, and collaborating closely with our external sales team. There may also be occasional customer meetings or site visits.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Producing high-quality lighting schemes to customer specifications
• Building detailed product knowledge, including performance and suitability
• Considering environmental impacts in lighting design
• Supporting internal and external sales teams with technical guidance
• Ensuring designs meet relevant industry standards
• Creating professional reports to support designs
• Managing multiple projects and working to deadlines
• Promoting the Kingfisher Lighting brand through excellent service

➕ Additional Responsibilities

• Participating in training and development opportunities
• Supporting other departments when required
• Assisting with project commissioning and light measurements
• Being flexible with working hours during busy periods

✅ What You’ll Bring

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong understanding of lighting products and design principles
• Experience with lighting design software (AGi32 beneficial)
• CAD knowledge
• Excellent communication, teamwork, and interpersonal skills
• Strong IT skills

Experience

• Exterior lighting applications (car parks, roads, sports facilities, high mast lighting)
• Understanding of photometric data and optical performance
• Knowledge of relevant lighting standards
• Ability to work collaboratively and meet deadlines
• AGi32 experience advantageous (training available)

Qualifications

• LIA or ILP qualification (or equivalent experience)
