Remortgage Technical Solicitor (No Fee Earning)

Up to £45,000 + Bonus

Leeds City Centre - Hybrid Working

An established legal practice is seeking a highly experienced property professional who wants to expand their impact beyond managing a personal caseload.

This role will give the right conveyancer the opportunity to transition from routine case management into a more strategic, advisory and leadership-oriented role within a specialist remortgage environment.

This opportunity suits an individual who enjoys resolving intricate property issues, strengthening technical standards, and supporting colleagues to perform at a higher level.

Core Responsibilities:

• Assist with demanding transactions, including shared ownership, Islamic finance, complex remortgage transactions and title irregularities
• Provide specialist input to remortgage technical teams
• Contribute to legal supervision and quality control processes
• Undertake structured file audits and compliance reviews
• Assist in identifying and mitigating operational and regulatory risk
• Promote consistent best practice across sales, purchases and remortgage workflows
• Mentor junior solicitors, licensed conveyancers and case handlers
• Support structured development plans and skills progression
• Contribute to a performance culture grounded in accountability and quality assurance

Applicants should meet the following criteria:

• Qualified Solicitor, Licensed Conveyancer or Chartered Legal Executive (CILEX)
• Significant post-qualification experience in residential conveyancing
• Demonstrated capability in handling complex or non-standard transactions
• Confidence operating as a technical escalation point
• Experience supervising, mentoring or developing colleagues
• Strong commercial awareness with the ability to interpret and apply performance data
• Credible and articulate communicator, particularly in interactions with lender clients
