Quantity Surveyor – Leading Groundworks & Civils Contractor

Client

My Client are a well-established Contractor, specialising in civil engineering, groundworks and infrastructure, working with numerous house builders and supporting a wide range of other industries across East Anglia and the South East of England.

Role Overview

My Client are seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to lead the commercial management of civil engineering and groundworks projects across housing & infrastructure sectors. You will ensure projects are delivered profitably, efficiently, and in line with contractual requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage all commercial aspects of multiple projects from tender through to final account
• Prepare cost plans, valuations, variations and financial forecasts
• Administer contracts and manage risk
• Procure and manage subcontractors
• Produce accurate cost reporting and cash flow forecasts
• Support and mentor junior commercial staff
• Liaise with clients, project managers and site teams to maintain commercial control

Requirements

• Proven experience in civil engineering / groundworks
• Strong knowledge of contract administration and cost control
• Excellent negotiation and communication skills
• Relevant degree (Quantity Surveying or similar); RICS accreditation desirable
• Full UK driving licence
