Job Overview
We are looking for a seasoned Public Relations Manager to lead the brand’s communications strategy in the UK. This is a ‘0-to-1’ role, offering a unique opportunity to shape the public image of a new global automotive brand from the ground up. You will work closely with internal teams and external partners to build brand awareness, manage media relations, and drive integrated communications across all channels.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership
- Develop and implement PR strategies to enhance brand awareness and reputation in the UK and global markets.
- Shape the brand narrative in alignment with LEPAS’ vision and business goals.
Media & Content
- Build and maintain strong relationships with UK and international media.
- Lead the creation of press releases, media kits, and corporate communications in collaboration with agencies.
Campaigns & Events
- Plan and execute high-impact media events including brand launches, press days, and exhibitions.
- Evaluate campaign performance and provide post-event insights and recommendations.
Crisis & Cross-functional Collaboration
- Lead crisis communication efforts and support emergency response with strategic plans.
- Work closely with brand, digital, product, and aftersales teams to ensure integrated communications.
Agency & Budget Management
- Manage external PR agencies, ensuring quality delivery and cost efficiency.
- Oversee budget planning and resource allocation.

Qualifications & Requirements
Education
- Bachelor’s degree or above in Marketing, Communications, Business, Journalism, or a related field.
Experience
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in public relations, corporate communications, or media relations within the automotive industry, OEM, or related sectors.
- Proven track record of successfully managing media relationships and executing integrated communications campaigns.
Skills & Competencies
- Strong media network and demonstrated ability to secure positive coverage.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English (additional languages are a plus).
- Strategic thinker with strong planning, coordination, and execution capabilities.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Proactive, self-motivated, and comfortable with ambiguity—a true start-up mindset.
- Experience working with or within Chinese brands or corporate cultures is highly desirable.
