Job description

We’re seeking for compassionate and dedicated individuals in Cambridge to become an SEN Teaching Assistant. You’ll provide one-to-one support for pupils with Special Educational Needs, assisting in creating a nurturing, inclusive classroom environment. Perfect for someone who values a collaborative approach and the opportunity to make a real difference daily.


Your Role

  • Provide personalised support to students in small groups or one-on-one.
  • Assist with Individual Education Plans (IEPs) to support learning and development.
  • Help create an inclusive and engaging classroom environment.
  • Work closely with teachers, parents, and SEN specialists to monitor progress.
  • Offer personal care and mobility support when required.


What We’re Looking For in the role of SEN Teaching Assistant

  • Experience working with children or young people with additional needs (essential).
  • Relevant qualifications in education or SEN support (preferred but not required).
  • A caring, patient, and proactive approach to supporting children.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
  • A driving licence is preferred but not mandatory.


Job Details


Location: Cambridge (In-Person)

Schedule: Monday to Friday (6.5-hour shifts, flexible working available)

Contract Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent, Temporary, Temp to Perm, Zero-Hours
