Operations Strategy Analyst

Southampton - Hybrid

Salary - up to £50,000

The Role

• Analyse large datasets to uncover trends, inefficiencies, and opportunities across operational workflows.

• Develop dashboards and reports to track key performance metrics such as processing times, service levels, staffing efficiency, and customer experience.

• Conduct root cause analysis and present clear, actionable recommendations to non‑technical stakeholders.

• Build predictive models for forecasting volumes, capacity planning, and workforce optimisation.

• Partner with Data Engineering to ensure data accessibility, quality, and availability.

• Monitor compliance and flag operational risks based on emerging patterns and anomalies.

• Support the development and maintenance of analytical tools using SQL, Python, and BI platforms.


Your Skills and Experience

• Strong commercial experience in data analytics within an operational or financial services setting.

• Proficiency in SQL and either Python or R, along with experience using data visualisation tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or similar.

• Demonstrated experience improving processes, forecasting performance, or optimising operational workflows.

• Ability to translate complex data into simple insights for senior stakeholders.

• Comfortable working in a fast‑paced environment with multiple priorities.
