Regional Category Manager - IT

EMEA Recruitment is currently recruiting for a Regional Category Manager – IT & Professional Services on behalf of our client, a leading international organisation with a significant global footprint.

Based at their office in Chester, you will join a high-impact procurement team and act as a strategic business partner, shaping category strategy across the European market.

As Regional Category Manager – IT & Professional Services, you will lead the development of the European strategy within a greenfield environment.

You will be responsible for building the category from the ground up, establishing robust processes, and managing critical supplier ecosystems across software, infrastructure, and professional services while driving digital innovation.

We are looking for a high-caliber candidate with the following skillset and experience:

• 5–10 years of experience in Procurement, Consulting, or IT Sourcing within an international environment
• Proven track record in building and developing a category from scratch (Greenfield experience)
• Strong hands-on experience in IT & Professional Services sourcing, including software, cloud, and consulting services
• Exceptional stakeholder management skills, with a primary focus on building and nurturing trusted relationships across a global matrix
• Ability to operate with a high degree of autonomy to establish commercial excellence and strategic sourcing frameworks
• Fluent English is essential; additional European languages are a plus
