Professional Indemnity Associate / Senior Associate
Leeds | Hybrid working | £55,000 – £90,000 DOE + excellent bonus & benefits
A leading UK firm is hiring into its Leeds-based Professional Indemnity / Commercial Insurance team. This is a hybrid role handling complex defendant PI matters for insurer and insured clients, with plenty of scope for autonomy, client exposure and progression.
The role
You’ll take ownership of a varied caseload of professional indemnity disputes, including:
- Claims involving a range of professional services (e.g. Legal, construction, financial and broking)
- Strategy and management of litigated matters through to settlement (and trial where required)
- Advising on risk, exposure and dispute resolution options in a pragmatic, commercially-minded way
- Working closely with colleagues nationally on larger, multi-party or business-critical claims
- Supporting junior lawyers through supervision and day-to-day mentoring (depending on level)
What you’ll need
- Qualified Solicitor (or equivalent) with solid experience in professional indemnity and/or commercial disputes
- Proven ability to run high-value, technical claims with strong client-handling skills
- Confident drafting and negotiation; comfortable managing experts and counsel
- Strong organisation and communication, suited to a hybrid set-up
