Workshop Controller

£50,000 + Bonus & Benefits

Our client is a leading organisation within the vehicle repair industry. Due to continued growth, we are looking to appoint a highly organised, personable, and proactive individual as Workshop Controller for their state-of-the-art facility in Basingstoke.

Responsibilities Include:

• Supervising daily workshop operations to ensure tasks are finished promptly and meet required standards
• Assigning jobs to technicians according to their expertise, current workload, and priorities
• Tracking progress, maintaining quality and efficiency, and addressing any challenges that occur
• Coordinating with the parts department, customer service, and VDA teams to keep repairs running smoothly
• Encouraging a safe, compliant, and well-organized workplace

Skills Required:

• Demonstrated experience as a workshop controller, senior technician, or in a similar position within the accident repair sector
• Strong leadership abilities and effective communication skills for motivating teams
• Thorough knowledge of bodyshop operations and repair procedures
• Exceptional organisational capabilities, able to thrive under pressure
• Upholds integrity, values teamwork, and consistently delivers high-quality work
• Extensive background in the automotive industry, especially with prior roles in workshop control or technical positions
• Excellent people skills, capable of interacting professionally with both customers and colleagues, whether in person or by email
• Able to set a positive example and inspire your team to meet targets and maintain superior standards
• Proficient at generating additional work opportunities and increasing sales ethically and in accordance with regulations
