Our advanced cloud-based data analytics software (SaaS) integrates with Building Management Systems (BMS) to identify inefficiencies and wasted energy. On average, we save 18% of a building’s total energy consumption, leading to massive cost savings and CO2 reductions.


We are currently deployed in thousands of client buildings across five continents. We are now seeking a driven Business Development Manager to lead our growth in the UK market.


The Role


We are looking for a true "Hunter"—a Business Development Manager who is passionate about solution-driven selling. You will be the face of CopperTree in the region, helping clients solve complex operational and sustainability problems.


You are a technical seller who can communicate value to everyone from Facility Managers to C-Level Sustainability Officers. You excel at prospecting, building pipelines, and managing complex B2B sales cycles from initiation to close.


Key Responsibilities


  • New Business Generation: Build and maintain a robust pipeline of direct prospects within the UK and European market.
  • Channel Development: Identify, recruit, and enable new channel partners and Value-Added Resellers (VARs) to scale our reach.
  • Solution Selling: Educate prospects on our Kaizen and analytics platforms through web demos, in-person presentations, and tailored proposals.
  • Full Cycle Management: Own the sales process: identifying leads, developing value propositions, structuring financial deals, negotiating contracts, and closing.
  • Market Intelligence: Understand the UK competitive landscape (ESG regulations, competitors) to position CopperTree to win.
  • CRM Hygiene: Meticulous management of the sales pipeline using HubSpot/CRM to forecast accurately.


Qualifications


  • Experience: 5+ years of technical B2B sales experience (SaaS, PropTech, or Engineering services preferred).
  • Industry Knowledge: Experience selling into Healthcare, Higher Education, or Commercial Real Estate is highly desirable. Familiarity with Building Automation, Energy Efficiency, or ESG solutions is a distinct advantage.
  • Sales Style: Proven ability to manage complex sales cycles with multiple stakeholders. You must be self-motivated, disciplined, and driven by targets.
  • Tech Stack: Experience with HubSpot, Salesforce, or similar CRM tools.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or a related discipline (or equivalent industry experience).
  • Travel: Ability to travel up to 25% for client meetings and industry events.
