Practitioner Psychologist (Low Secure & Rehab)
£48,250-£58,250

We are working with the leading independent provider of mental health and adult social care in the UK that has a "good" CQC rating. Essential:
- Doctoral qualification (or equivalent) in applied psychology
- Registration with the HCPC as a Practitioner Psychologist with the British Psychological Society.
- Experience working with individuals with complex needs relevant to the service population -
- Competence in assessing, formulating, and working therapeutically with service users with mental illness, personality disorder, learning difficulties and autism and the delivery of high-level interventions
- Confident grasp of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and at least two other therapeutic modalities - including training in an intervention suitable for working with location specific disorders
- Understand and apply therapy principles with a willingness to train if not already received
Job Responsibilities:
- Respond promptly to referrals and carry out comprehensive assessments to design effective, tailored therapy programmes using appropriate therapeutic techniques and interventions.
- Deliver and facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions, ensuring activities and interventions align with each client’s therapy plan and evolving needs.
- Manage a designated caseload within agreed timeframes, maintaining regular communication and engagement with clients, professional colleagues, and clinical staff.
- Maintain accurate, up-to-date documentation including case notes, clinical reports, and electronic records, and share relevant client information with the multidisciplinary team (MDT) during regular meetings.
- Provide leadership and coordination within the clinical team, offering psychotherapeutic guidance and supporting colleagues in delivering high-quality care.
- Identify and implement innovative, evidence-based therapeutic methods and interventions to enhance service quality and client outcomes.
