As we continue to scale, we are looking for a commercially aware, and technically strong, Quality Specialist to join our Head Office team in Uxbridge.


The Role

This is a pivotal role within our product and compliance function. You will act as a key gatekeeper for product quality, ensuring all products meet UK and EU safety regulations, while supporting supplier performance and continuous improvement.


You will also work closely with Buying, Operations, Compliance, Warehouse teams, and international suppliers to safeguard product integrity, from concept through to customer.


Key Responsibilities

Product Compliance & Documentation

  • Review and manage technical documentation including Declarations of Conformity (DoC), test reports, risk assessments, and technical files
  • Ensure compliance with UK & EU product safety legislation
  • Maintain accurate internal compliance records

Product Evaluation & Testing

  • Review supplier samples against approved specifications
  • Conduct in-house product testing where required
  • Identify non-conformities and manage corrective actions
  • Provide structured technical feedback to suppliers

Supplier Quality & Continuous Improvement

  • Work closely with global suppliers to implement quality performance standards
  • Drive Corrective and Preventative Actions (CAPA)
  • Use returns data, customer feedback, and risk insights to reduce recurring issues
  • Support supplier performance monitoring

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with Buying and NPD teams during product development
  • Support Operations with quality investigations
  • Provide internal guidance on regulatory and safety requirements


What We’re Looking For

  • Degree (or equivalent) in Scientific Engineering, Product Technology, Quality, or related field
  • Experience with Consumer goods such as, Heating and Cooling Products, Electronics, DIY/Tools, Fitness equipment, and Kitchen appliances.
  • Strong understanding of product compliance documentation
  • Excellent attention to detail and structured working style
  • Confident working with international suppliers
  • Strong analytical and reporting skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Experience with UK/EU product safety legislation is highly desirable.
