Geotechnical Engineer

Job description

I am working with a client who is looking for a Geotechnical Engineer to join their ground investigation team, supporting a range of infrastructure and development projects. This role is primarily site‑based and focuses on accurate soil and rock logging, supervising investigation works, and ensuring all field activities are carried out safely and to industry standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise ground investigation works, including drilling, sampling, and in‑situ testing.
• Manage site activities, ensuring high standards of H&S and quality control.
• Support the preparation of factual reports and organise sample scheduling.
• Liaise with contractors, project managers, and clients throughout fieldwork.

What We're Looking For:

• Experience in ground investigation and geological/soil logging.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.
• Full UK driving licence and willingness to work on various sites.

YOU MUST BE ABLE TO COMMUTE AROUND YORKSHIRE AND HAVE UK EXPERIENCE FOR THIS ROLE.
