Job Title: Electrical Engineer
Location: Central London.
Contract Type: Permanent.
About the Role
We’re looking for a highly skilled Electrical Engineer to join our team and support the maintenance and testing of electrical systems across our operations. You’ll play a key role in delivering safe, reliable, and efficient electrical solutions that meet both technical and business requirements.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys problem‑solving, thrives in a collaborative environment, and has a strong understanding of modern electrical engineering principles.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain electrical systems, components, and products across the site.
- Carry out EICRs and Fixed Wire Testing
- Undertake minor remedial work when required.
- Diagnose and resolve electrical issues promptly to minimise downtime.
- Ensure all electrical work meets industry standards, safety regulations, and compliance requirements.
- Collaborate with other internal teams to deliver integrated engineering solutions.
- Support project planning, cost estimation, and technical reviews.
- Drive continuous improvement and innovation within the engineering function.
Skills & Experience Required
The client requires a full DV (Developed Vetting) Security Clearance for the role. You MUST hold a valid UK passport and be able to demonstrate a clear and consecutive UK footprint covering at least 10 years. In addition to this, you must hold the below:
- Level 3 NVQ Diploma in Electrical Installations or equivalent
- 18th Edition
- City and Guilds 2391 Inspection and Testing
- Proved experience carrying out EICRs and fixed wire testing
- Strong understanding of electrical safety, regulatory requirements, and testing procedures.
- Proven experience in an electrical engineering role (industry‑specific experience desirable).
- Excellent problem‑solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
Desirable
- Background in commercial or industrial environments.
- IPAF, PASMA, ECS or CSCS Card
- Knowledge of CAFM or digital reporting tools
