Job Description

Key responsibilities:

  • Provide technical leadership in the design, sizing and validation of HVAC and liquid‑cooling systems
  • Undertake design activities at every stage of the life cycle processes of a project
  • Attend sites for the purposes of scoping and identifying works for condition assessments, new designs, replacement and upgrade works
  • Emphasis on sustainability elements of HVAC designs and de-gasification works with the introduction of modern ASHP technology
  • Ability to undertake detailed design for the purposes of tendering and construction information
  • Liaison with manufacturers in the development of solutions
  • Production of technical drawings, specifications, calculations, equipment scheduling
  • Customise solutions for specific client needs and support construction in a live environment including BoQ, construction information and on-site problem solving
  • Monitor market trends, technologies and standards to inform long‑term product roadmap decisions.
  • Provide liaison and coordination and at all levels and stages of the project through working in a wider multi-disciplined design team, management of contractors and reporting into technical and non-technical client teams
  • Support to commissioning process and setting to work of systems

The Successful Applicant

  • Degree‑qualified in Mechanical, Thermal or a related engineering discipline.
  • +3 years' hands‑on experience in either a consulting, contracting role or commissioning
  • Working understanding of cooling topologies, reliability requirements and industry guidelines UK and global standard ideally
  • Strong analytical and communication skills, able to work cross‑functionally and take initiative in a fast‑moving environment.
  • Detail‑driven, structured and comfortable working both from drawings and on-site.
  • Willingness to develop and learn as well as diversify into wider parts of the industry
