Intermediate Power Engineer – Birmingham

A well-established engineering consultancy is looking to appoint an Intermediate Power Engineer to join their growing team in Birmingham. This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer looking to develop their expertise in power systems while working on technically challenging and high-impact projects.

You’ll be part of a collaborative team delivering power engineering solutions across a variety of sectors, with strong support for professional development and career progression.

The Role

• Support the design and analysis of power systems for a range of building services, infrastructure and industrial projects
• Carry out electrical calculations, studies, and technical reports
• Assist with the development of system designs including HV/LV networks and associated infrastructure
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and external stakeholders
• Contribute to project delivery from concept through to detailed design

About You

• Degree qualified in Electrical or Power Engineering
• Experience within a consultancy, utilities, or power systems environment
• Understanding of power systems design and analysis
• Familiarity with industry software such as ETAP, DIgSILENT, or similar (desirable)
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills
• Working towards professional accreditation (desirable)
